Key Responsibilities
Provide vendor management services across a portfolio of third parties:
- Contract Governance: Enforce vendor contracts and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure compliance and accountability.
- Performance Management: Monitor vendor performance, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement.
- Governance & Reviews: Conduct regular vendor reviews to align expectations and strengthen relationships.
- Contract Lifecycle Support: Represent Service and Operations in new contracts and amendments, partnering with Procurement and business stakeholders.
- Risk & Security Oversight: Lead vendor risk assessments with enterprise security teams; obtain and manage audit documentation to close open findings.
- Operational Oversight: Maintain detailed records of day-to-day vendor activities and performance metrics.
- Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify risks, track issues, and ensure timely resolution.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze vendor data to inform strategic recommendations and decisions.
- Opportunity Assessment: Evaluate vendor risks and opportunities to guide business impact and response strategies.
- Strategic Leadership: Champion vendor management best practices across the enterprise.
- Sourcing Support: Coordinate and participate in RFI/RFP processes and contract negotiations as needed.
- Cost Optimization: Identify and execute cost savings and avoidance opportunities during contract renewals.
- Continuous Improvement: Apply Lean methodologies to enhance vendor management processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- 5+ years vendor management or related experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a service or operations organization.
- Proven ability to lead, partner and influence across various leadership levels.
- Demonstrated success in driving measurable business outcomes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with common service or operations applications and services.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Ameriprise Vendor Management Policies and Systems.
- Previous Ameriprise or financial services industry experience.
- Strong communication and influencing skills across varying leadership levels.
