What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be joining CIBC’s Capital Markets Technology group within the US Cash Management- Global Transactions team. As a Sr. Consultant, DevOps, you will leverage deep expertise in DevOps practices, automation, and cloud technologies to drive transformation, streamline processes, and enable continuous delivery of high-quality solutions. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, providing strategic guidance, hands-on implementation, and mentorship to accelerate our DevOps maturity.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 2-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote. 

How You’ll Succeed

  • DevOps Strategy & Implementation: Develop and execute DevOps strategies aligned with organizational objectives; design and implement CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and infrastructure as code.
  • Cloud & Automation: Architect, deploy, and manage scalable cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) using automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible
  • Monitoring & Optimization: Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions; proactively identify and resolve system bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and performance issues.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze existing workflows, identify opportunities for process automation and optimization, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure solutions comply with organizational policies and industry regulations; integrate security best practices into DevOps pipelines.

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate experience with:  at least 7 years of DevOps experience. Including strong technical trouble-shooting ability with knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for anticipating, recognizing, and resolving technical (software, application or operational) problems and interpreting server logs. Supporting Infrastructure requests, Dev/SIT environments and building pipelines. Strong Asset if you have experience with Microsoft Co-Pilot and/or GitHub Actions.
