Fortuna is seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join the Dental Service team at the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center in Dublin, GA. This role is an excellent opportunity to support veterans by providing both clinical and administrative support in a professional, patient-focused environment. You'll work alongside dental providers to ensure quality care, prepare treatment rooms, assist during procedures, and uphold the highest standards of infection control and patient safety.

WORKSITE

Carl Vinson VA Medical Center – Dublin, GA

WORK SCHEDULE

  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Regular Hours)

  • Some Saturdays, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (as needed)

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Provide chair-side assistance for general and specialty dental procedures, including restorative, prosthodontic, and surgical treatments

  • Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for patient care based on the procedure

  • Retract tissue, suction, and pass instruments during procedures

  • Take digital radiographs proficiently

  • Follow infection control standards and VA Medical Center protocols

  • Comply with VA safety and privacy regulations

  • Deliver excellent customer service to patients, visitors, volunteers, and staff in a courteous and respectful manner

  • Work under the supervision of the Dental Chief or designee

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Proof of Licensure (Required)

  • Experience as a Dental Assistant, including chair-side assistance and radiography

  • Knowledge of infection control standards

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first approach

  • Ability to work both independently and under supervision
