About the Role:
As a Store Person, you will be responsible for the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods and materials in line with company procedures. Your primary duties will include:
Key Responsibilities:
Store & Inventory Management:
Maintain minimum stock levels and ensure correct labelling of mechanical/electrical parts.
Track goods in/out, verifying items, quantities, and conditions.
Monitor and escalate delays in orders to the supervisor.
Keep the store area clean, well-organized, and free of redundant equipment.
Log incoming maintenance equipment, tools, and parts in the inventory system.
Perform regular cycle counts and resolve inventory variances.
Ensure parts required by Maintenance and Engineering are always available.
Procurement:
Source new suppliers and manage quotes for parts and equipment.
Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of outstanding orders.
Work closely with Procurement and external suppliers to manage lead times and returns.
About You:
We are looking for a candidate who is enthusiastic about learning and developing their career in the mechanical trades and maintenance fields. The ideal candidate will have:
A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Store Person or 3 years in a Technical Records role.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
A high level of organization with excellent critical thinking skills.
Experience using SAP Maintenance software.
The ability to lift and move goods following manual handling guidelines.
A proactive and collaborative approach to working within a technical team.
