Business Development Manager – Contract Manufacturing 
Location: Condell Park, Sydney

We’re part of a global beverage manufacturing organisation — and we’re looking for a Business Development Manager – Contract Manufacturing to join our high-performing Australian team. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of key customer partnerships and drive operational success in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 

 

About the Role:

 

This isn’t a traditional new business sales role. Instead, you’ll focus on growing and managing existing co-manufacturing relationships within the beverage category. Your focus will be on operational execution, forecasting and supply planning coordination, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. 

 

You’ll act as the link between our partners and our internal teams — ensuring forecasts are met, production runs smoothly, and any issues are swiftly resolved. You'll thrive in a role that requires agility, clear communication, and a strong grasp of supply chain dynamics. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Be the day-to-day contact for contract manufacturing partners 

  • Lead regular customer reviews and supply planning meetings 

  • Translate customer forecasts into production and logistics plans 

  • Monitor performance and troubleshoot supply or service challenges 

  • Support pricing, contracts, and SLAs with commercial oversight 

  • Champion customer needs across planning, operations, and logistics 

  • Drive continuous improvement across the contract manufacturing value chain 

 

About You:

 

You’re naturally curious, highly collaborative, and able to keep things moving — even in complexity. You’re confident engaging with stakeholders across planning, production, and logistics, and you know how to deliver value through operational excellence. 

 

What you'll bring: 

 

  • 3+ years in account management, supply chain, or customer operations (FMCG/manufacturing ideal) 

  • Strong grasp of production planning, logistics, and customer service 

  • Great stakeholder and communication skills (written & verbal) 

  • Analytical mindset with commercial acumen 

  • Experience with ERP/SAP/S&OP systems and Excel 

  • A proactive, flexible approach — with the ability to manage competing priorities 

  • Willingness to travel and work flexibly to align with production needs
