HCB Widdows Mason is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented, experienced Legal Assistant to join our Residential team. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about providing high-quality support to clients navigating residential property transactions while gaining valuable experience in a professional legal environment. Comprehensive training will be provided to the right candidate.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Handling client inquiries and providing regular updates on residential property transactions.
- Opening and closing client files while ensuring compliance with firm policies and legal regulations.
- Performing administrative tasks associated with residential property transactions.
- Drafting and preparing legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
- Conducting legal research on matters related to residential property law.
- Supporting solicitors during client meetings and facilitating communications between parties.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation within our case management systems.
- Providing occasional reception cover and general office support when required.
Requirements
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- A keen attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
- Previous experience in a legal environment is advantageous but not essential.
