Position is for a support engineer / lead engineer within Camera component team.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:                 

  • Engineer will be responsible for performance tests, environmental tests and collaborating with process partners are product alignment to core system goals
  • Performance tests – executed either in lab or in the field behind building
  • Environmental tests – executed in Caterpillar test facility or at a third party test facility in Chicago-land
  • Test plan / test report creation – executed in office environment and reviewed with more senior engineers.
  • Investigating and troubleshooting technical issues related to the camera components.
  • Requirements development – gaining voice of process partners, lessons learned and documenting for review with senior engineers and with process partner

Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with 5-7 years’ experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Product experience – experience in the electronics development world, particularly with camera or ADAS sensor technologies and application of the technology
  • Self-driven – work to help the team with your initiative
  • Ability and willingness to be hands on.
  • Ability to create test plans, conduct environmental and performance tests and create test reports of cameras or ADAS type sensors.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and investigate technical issues utilizing computer aided tools, multi-meters and/or oscilloscopes at component or PCBA level.
  • Ability and willingness to be hands on.
