Job Description:

Link Solutions Inc. is seeking a System Engineer (Senior-Level)  to join our team in Clarksburg, WV.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
  • Non-remote (relocation incentive available)

The System Engineer will provide on-site support at the Clarksburg Local Network Enterprise Center (LNEC) in coordination with the Biometric Operations Department (BOD). This role ensures uninterrupted operations across Army Information Technology Portfolio (AITP) systems, including NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and Mission System Environments. You will be responsible for providing IT support services and troubleshooting both hardware and software within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and in compliance with DoD policies.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in analysis, design, development, and fielding of next-generation systems.
  • Identify and resolve problems within existing systems and enhance current infrastructure.
  • Design and implement new systems and ensure long-term operational requirements are met.
  • Provide support across mixed environments, including servers, mobile devices, A/V equipment, and Active Directory.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot systems using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and other delivery methods.
  • Ensure compliance with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and DoD cybersecurity standards.
  • Provide after-hours support in emergency situations.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and document technical processes clearly.
  • Provide technical leadership in the integration and testing of complex, large-scale computer-integrated networks.

Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Active or obtainable DoD Secret Clearance
  • Minimum six (6+) years of relevant experience in IT or Service Desk environments

Certifications:

  • IAT Level II Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security Training, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CISSP) equivalent or higher

Preferred:

  • Experience in server installation, configuration, and management of enterprise servers (Windows, Unix, SQL, etc.).
  • Experience with storage solutions (SAN, NAS, iSCSI, DAS), disaster recovery, and virtualization technologies (ESX, ESXi, VSphere).
  • Familiarity with Nutanix, blade architecture, and NetApp or other enterprise storage systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and database administration (MS SQL, Oracle).
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Server 2019, Windows 11, and Linux.
  • Experience with patch management tools (WSUS, SCCM), antivirus platforms (Symantec, McAfee HBSS), and help desk technologies (Remedy).
  • Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, VBScript) and DHCP solutions (Lucent, MS DHCP).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Accurate and precise attention to detail.
