Responsibilities
- Employee Onboarding & New Hire Orientation: Assist in onboarding efforts to ensure a seamless transition for new employees, including orientation sessions and integration into company culture.
- Compliance & Policy Development: Maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations, develop and update HR policies, and provide guidance on workplace compliance issues.
- HR Systems & Data Analytics: Utilize HR data to track workforce trends, analyze key HR metrics, and drive data-driven decision-making. Maintain and keep the HRIS up to date and accurate.
- Culture & Engagement Initiatives: Lead and support initiatives to promote employee engagement, inclusion, and a positive work environment.
- HR Program Execution: Support the implementation of key HR programs, including employee engagement surveys, diversity and inclusion efforts, and leadership development initiatives.
- Serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers, helping maintain a respectful, positive and performance driven workplace.
- Manage and maintain our HRIS and employee records ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Uphold confidentiality and data integrity within the system.
- Own benefit and compensation administration, respond to employee inquiries, and communicate proactively about offerings.
- Coordinate and manage leaves of absence, ensuring clear, timely communication with employees and managers.
- Support performance reviews, employee engagement surveys, and other programs.
- Own employment verifications, unemployment claims, works comp claims, and other employee documentation.
- Learn HR’s current processes, file structures, and workflows. Look for areas to continually improve our team’s efficiency.
- Manage various HR projects and initiatives, collaborating and partnering with partners as needed.
- Maintain and update employee handbooks and HR policies to ensure compliance and cultural alignment.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree
- Experience: 3+ years of progressive HR experience, including compliance, onboarding, and benefits administration.
- Strong understanding of employment laws, HR best practices, and organizational compliance in the State of Colorado. Multi-state experience is a plus.
- Experience with HRIS (preferably Workday), ATS and other HR tech platforms.
- Experience managing onboarding and new hire orientation programs.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-moving, evolving environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Passion for building culture and fostering a positive employee experience.
- Must be willing to work onsite at our Denver, CO facility.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee of granted asylum
Desired
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or high-tech industries.
- Payroll administration experience for multi-state organizations.
- Administration of a Learning Management System (LMS) or history of creating training content for an LMS.
- Prior experience in a startup or fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Experience supporting hourly and non-exempt workforce populations.
- Prior experience and willingness to assist with recruiting activities as needed.
