About the Job:

Join our client's team as their first Data Scientist, where you’ll play a key role in analyzing and interpreting complex data to help drive user engagement, product development, and business decisions. You will be part of the product team and collaborate closely with product marketers, product designers, data analysts, and software engineers to provide insights and build data-driven solutions. As the first Data Scientist, you will have significant influence over the tech stack, methodologies, and ways of working.



Responsibilities:

As a Data Scientist, your day-to-day tasks will include:


  • Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights that inform product and business strategies. Use statistical methods and data mining techniques to identify trends and patterns.
  • Machine Learning: Develop and implement machine learning models to predict user behavior, enhance personalization, and improve overall user experience. Work with tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, product designers, product marketers, and software engineers to ensure data-driven decision-making across the company. Participate in cross-functional team meetings and contribute to collaborative projects.
  • A/B Testing: Design and analyze A/B tests to evaluate the impact of product changes and marketing campaigns. Use the results to make recommendations for optimization.
  • Data Visualization: Create clear and compelling data visualizations to communicate insights to stakeholders. Use tools like Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js to present data in an accessible manner.
  • Data Infrastructure: Collaborate with data engineers to build and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure. Ensure data quality and integrity across all data sources.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data science. Continuously seek opportunities to improve data processes and deliver high-quality insights.



Your Profile:

We're looking for someone with both the technical skills and a great cultural fit for the company.


  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in data science, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work. Experience in the entertainment/media industry and with product-led growth models is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with SQL. Familiarity with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in statistical analysis and data mining. Ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Collaboration Skills: Experience working in cross-functional teams, particularly with product managers, designers, marketers, and software engineers. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
  • Data Visualization: Skilled in using data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js to present data effectively.
  • Tech-Savvy: As the first Data Scientist, you will have significant input on the tech stack and methodologies. A proactive and innovative mindset is essential.
  • Remote Work: Comfortable working in a remote-first environment with team members across the world. Strong communication skills and self-motivation are key.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English. Additional language skills are a plus but not required.
