That’s why we need a skilled SEO manager to work with our Editorial Team to support its production of specialised, optimised finance content.Are you a fit?   • Collaborate and coach the editorial team to create top-tier content that performs well within search engine results pages (SERPs)
  • Regularly monitor and review website performance to determine which SEO activities are working most effectively
  • Employ differing SEO strategies depending on the content type (i.e. commercial, vs. news, vs. informational)
  • Perform keyword research and competitor analysis to help define the content strategy
  • Identify articles that need updating to maintain their ranking position within the SERPs
  • Stay up-to-date on ever-changing SEO trends and Google updates
  • Perform regular checks on written materials to ensure essential SEO practices are employed across all article elements
  • Provide SEO trainings, reference guides, checklists and feedback to editors and writers
  • Conduct periodic site-wide audits so that the team is aware of any issues that may be inhibiting site performance
  • Implement organised processes to assist editors with essential tasks, such as adding internal links, SEO brief creation and more
Qualifications
  • At least 3 years in Senior SEO Analyst, Technical SEO Analyst or SEO manager role (preferably at a media publication)
  • Ideally a bachelor’s degree in journalism, data science or another relevant area of study
Preferred Qualifications
  • Able and eager to teach and coach editors for a collaborative, positive, and productive work environment
  • Skilled at performing audits, prioritising critical findings and ensuring quality improvements.
  • Ability to work standard UK business hours (e.g., 9 am to 5 pm GMT - potential flexibility for the right candidate)
  • Experience using relevant SEO tools, such as Ahrefs, SEM Rush, Google Search Console, etc.
  • Experience working with WordPress CMS is highly beneficial.
  • Proficient in Google Sheets, Excel, etc.
  • Knowledgeable about Google Trends and EEAT best practices
  • Writing Experience. Experience writing or reporting for a journalistic publication.
  • Experience with the following tools: SurferSEO, Midjourney, Canva or Photoshop, and on-chain analysis tools (eg, Dune, Nansen etc).
  • Fluent in English: Ability to decipher proper phrasing across articles for different markets internationally — especially when analysing content, doing keyword research, and studying competitors.
