Job Overview
Saronic is looking for an exceptional accounting manager to join the accounting and finance team supporting Saronic’s rapid growth. You will be responsible for managing multiple general ledger functions, closing the books and preparing financial statements and developing staff members. You will also work closely with members of the accounting team and the business to improve cross-functional processes and the related system solutions. You will be an instrumental part of creating and maintaining the policies and procedures needed to scale our organization.
This is a full-time role, reporting to our Director of Accounting, based in our office in Austin, Texas.
Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day operations and close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations, P&L allocations and financial statement variance analysisSupport monthly internal and external financial reportingImplement and manage close management solutions and decrease close timingSupervise, mentor, and develop accounting team membersCoordinate and assist with external auditsManage accounting processes for international subsidiaries and intercompany transactionsCollaborate on the development of policies and procedures as we scale our organizationManage multiple tasks with strict deadlines and maintain attention to detailCommunicate effectively with all levels of the organization and build strong cross-functional relationships across the organization
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years managing and developing a team Experience at a public accounting firm strongly preferredSolid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP), practices and proceduresAbility to think outside the box and be nimbleDeadline driven and an ability to prioritize tasksAbility to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environmentAbility to handle confidential matters with discretionNetsuite experience (preferred) or other accounting ERP experienceAbility to solve problems as they arise
