Position Summary: Construction Supervisor I
STEP, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Construction Supervisor I to support new construction and rehabilitation projects throughout Lycoming and Clinton Counties. This role performs a wide variety of construction tasks—either independently or as part of a crew—to enhance energy efficiency, health, safety, accessibility, and affordability of residential homes.

Typical projects may include:

  • Major bathroom or kitchen renovations
  • Accessibility modifications
  • Structural repairs
  • Weatherization and energy-efficiency improvements
  • Other essential residential building component upgrades

As a Construction Supervisor I, you will oversee on-site work crews, ensure quality workmanship, meet production timelines, uphold safety and code compliance, complete required documentation, and communicate respectfully with customers from diverse backgrounds.

PAY RATE: $22.53 per hour

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least two years of experience as a Construction Laborer II or equivalent experience in residential rehabilitation
  • Strong technical understanding of construction concepts (carpentry, estimating, customer service, etc.)
  • Proven ability to supervise work crews effectively


General Requirements:

  • Ability to meet medical clearance requirements for respirator use (initial and annual)
  • Valid driver’s license and daily access to an insured vehicle
  • Ability to pass the following within 90 days of employment:
  • PA State Police Criminal History Clearance
  • Child Abuse Clearance
  • FBI Clearance
  • National Sex Offender Registry check
  • Motor Vehicle Record check
  • Ability to perform essential physical functions, including:
  • Climbing ladders and working at heights
  • Lifting 60 lbs unassisted / 100 lbs assisted
  • Navigating confined spaces (attics, crawlspaces)
  • Wearing OSHA-required safety gear


Special Requirements:

Within 18 months of hire, must:

  • Successfully complete all Weatherization Supervisor training required by the PA Department of Community & Economic Development
  • Earn and maintain EPA-HUD Certified Renovator certification
  • Attend additional trainings and obtain certifications as needed
