Purpose of the Job:To ensure Franchises are training according to SOP and compliant

This position reports to the : Training Manager

Your responsibilities can include:

Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) Support

  • Assisting in the setting up and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
  • Involvement in content writing in both SOP and training material.
  • Franchise adherence to SOP compliance.
  • Training compliance auditing — monitor, evaluate and report on franchise network learning and progress.

Training and Development

  • Planning and scheduling training sessions, workshops, and other learning activities, considering employee availability and operational requirements.
  • Willing and able to travel locally in and around an allocated region, as well as to allocated regional hubs (as required) as part of your weekly deliverables.
  • Identify training needs within the organisation through analysis of employee performance/results, skill gaps, and business objectives.
  • Involvement in the development and delivery of highly effective training content and learning design strategies using a variety of learning principles.
  • New management and driver training assistance and development.\
  • Provide input into high-level project requirements for continuous training process development and improvement.
  • Handling logistical aspects such as booking venues, arranging equipment, and managing training materials for a smooth training experience.
  • Managing the training and development budget, tracking expenses, and optimising resources to achieve the maximum return on investment (ROI) for training initiatives.
  • Staying updated on industry trends, best practices in training and development, and incorporating new methodologies or technologies to enhance training effectiveness.

E-Learning Content Creation

  • Design, develop, and maintain engaging e-learning modules, microlearning content, and multimedia learning assets using industry-standard authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Vyond, Canva).
  • Script, storyboard, and produce interactive e-learning courses aligned to identified learning outcomes and organisational objectives.
  • Integrate multimedia elements (video, audio, animations, assessments) into e-learning content to enhance learner engagement and knowledge retention.
  • Review and continuously update existing e-learning content to ensure accuracy, relevance, and alignment with current SOPs and operational practices.
  • Leverage AI tools and technologies to accelerate content creation, personalise learning pathways, and enhance the overall quality of digital learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather, validate, and translate operational knowledge into effective digital learning solutions.

Learning Management System (LMS) Administration

  • Administer and manage the organisation's LMS, including user setup, enrolment, course publishing, and system configuration.
  • Manage user accounts across the franchise network — creating, updating, and deactivating profiles as required to maintain accurate learner records.
  • Assign and schedule training programmes and learning paths to the appropriate user groups, ensuring timely and accurate deployment of content.
  • Monitor learner progress, completion rates, assessment results, and compliance status through the LMS, generating regular reports for management review.
  • Analyse LMS data and training metrics to identify trends, knowledge gaps, and opportunities for improving training effectiveness and learner engagement.
  • Troubleshoot LMS-related issues experienced by users, providing first-line support and escalating to system administrators where necessary.
  • Ensure all e-learning content meets quality, accessibility, and technical standards before publishing on the LMS.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of training completions, certifications, and compliance requirements across the franchise network.

Operations

  • Gain contextual understanding of the operational levers involved in driving improved execution performance.
  • Involvement in training solution implementation requirements.
  • Work closely with and support the operations team(s) working towards continued execution improvement.
  • Help to maintain service levels of the franchise network by identifying shortfalls and implementing corrective measures via continuous training monitoring and assistance.
  • Identify and address key hub training metric failures with the hub franchise network and operations teams via weekly reports.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Higher certificate or tertiary qualification is essential, especially in Human Resources, Training Management, or Instructional Design (NQF 5 and above).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Training Coordinator / Supervisor / Facilitator.

  • Understand how technology works for business — a strong understanding of and passion for e-learning technologies, creating content, and how they can be used to add value and transform the learner experience.
  • Comfortable using Zoom/Meet/Teams for remote training and facilitation where required
  • Experience in relationship management, including the ability to identify business issues and potential risks for continuous change and execution improvement.
  • Follow-up and monitoring — checking progress against targets, reporting as necessary and taking action to resolve exceptions.
  • Train-the-trainer approach will be required to be able to transfer knowledge to the extent that learners can teach others.
  • Must be a good facilitator — able to train people in both individual and group settings.
  • Experience managing training and development projects from conception to evaluation.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in LMS administration, including user management, content publishing, and results reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and produce high-quality e-learning content using digital authoring tools.
