About the Role
byteSense is building one of the first AI-powered intraoral wearable platforms, starting with a smart night guard that helps users better understand sleep, bruxism, and nighttime health patterns.
As we move into a new stage of growth, we are expanding our operations and supply chain infrastructure to support higher production volume, stronger fulfillment systems, and a more scalable customer experience. We are looking for an Operations & Supply Chain Manager to help own and build the operational engine behind the company.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving real-world operational problems, coordinating moving pieces, working with suppliers, improving systems, and helping a fast-growing hardware company scale from early traction into repeatable execution.
You will play a key role in making sure our products are built, checked, stocked, shipped, and supported with consistency.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Quality Control
- Monitor daily operations to ensure work is moving correctly.
- Help coordinate quality control processes and track issues.
- Identify bottlenecks before they slow down production or fulfillment.
- Create visibility into recurring operational problems.
- Help translate operational problems into better systems, checklists, and SOPs.
- Support a more reliable and scalable fulfillment process.
Inventory & Supply Chain
- Track inventory levels across parts, backup parts, and production inputs.
- Manage supply chain timelines and ensure key dates are visible.
- Coordinate with suppliers to support production continuity.
- Help prevent parts shortages through proactive planning.
- Find and evaluate alternative sourcing options when needed.
- Communicate with manufacturers, part vendors, and other suppliers.
- Build organized supplier records, schedules, and communication processes.
Staffing & Support Coverage
- Help coordinate hiring needs for device technicians as production grows.
- Support basic staffing plans for operational and customer support coverage.
- Help ensure order-tracking and FAQ-style support is covered.
- Escalate anything outside basic support, especially dental or clinical questions.
Requirements
Experience in operations, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing coordination, inventory management, vendor coordination, or a related role
Ability to manage schedules, suppliers, inventory, and operational workflows
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfort working in a fast-moving startup environment
Ability to identify issues, escalate problems, and propose practical solutions
Strong ownership mentality
