Join our dedicated caregiving team as a Team Lead for our summer camp! Our summer camp supports youth ages 7-17 with disabilities.

As a camp lead you will play a vital role in guiding and supporting a compassionate team of caregivers. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will support the care coordinator with daily operations, ensure the delivery of exceptional care, and foster a positive environment for both clients and staff. Your leadership will directly impact the quality of life for individuals with diverse needs. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference while developing your leadership skills in a dynamic care setting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate caregiving staff to deliver personalized care that meets each clients unique needs, including assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as toileting/depend changes, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
  • Oversee medication reminders to ensure safety and compliance with health protocols.
  • Mentor team members on best practices in accordance to company policies.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by supervising routines and maintaining compliance with safety standards.
  • Facilitate effective communication among staff, clients, and families to promote transparency and collaborative care.
  • Assist with emergency procedures such as first aid response when necessary.
  • Drive team engagement through coaching, performance feedback, and fostering a supportive work atmosphere.

Requirements

  • Experience and knowledge of caring for individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive as needed for community outings or resident transportation.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide caregiving staff effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients’ families and care teams.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including assisting with ADLs and engaging in physical activities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as first aid or CPR are highly desirable; ongoing training in assisted living or long-term care is encouraged.
  • Bachelors degree in related field and/or 4+ years of experience working with people with disabilities
