Description
Liberty Behavioral and Community Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced Program Director to lead, manage, and oversee our behavioral health services. This leadership role is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating programs that support individuals with autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and behavioral health needs.
The Program Director will ensure high-quality service delivery, regulatory compliance, and continuous program development. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a commitment to improving the lives of the individuals and communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities
Program Management & Leadership
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of behavioral services programs, ensuring effective and high-quality service delivery
- Supervise and provide leadership to a multidisciplinary team, including Adaptive Skills Therapists, Conduct Specialists, and support staff
- Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations and alignment with organizational goals
- Foster a collaborative, supportive, and high-performing team environment
Client Services & Oversight
- Monitor service delivery to ensure clients receive appropriate, individualized interventions
- Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of behavioral treatment plans
- Serve as a liaison between clients, families, and service providers to ensure coordinated care
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure all programs comply with state regulations, industry standards, and organizational policies
- Implement and monitor quality assurance measures to track outcomes and improve services
- Stay current with best practices and integrate them into program operations
Training & Staff Development
- Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for staff
- Ensure team members maintain required certifications and stay current with industry standards
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement
Community & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and funding sources
- Support program growth and sustainability through collaboration and outreach
- Participate in advocacy and community engagement efforts
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Human Services, or a related field
- Master’s degree preferred in a behavioral health or related discipline
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in behavioral health or related field
- At least 1–2 years of leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong background in program development, management, and evaluation
- Experience working with adults with autism and developmental disabilities preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- In-depth knowledge of behavioral health practices and regulatory requirements
- Ability to analyze data, assess program effectiveness, and implement improvements
- Proficiency in case management systems and reporting tools
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
- Must pass background check and pre-employment screening
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the community
