We’re currently looking for a dependable, hands-on Day Porter / Handyman to support the daily upkeep of commercial properties. This role combines routine cleaning/portering with light maintenance and repair work—ideal for someone who enjoys staying active and solving problems on the go.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily portering duties including trash removal, cleaning common areas, and general upkeep
• Light maintenance tasks such as replacing bulbs, ceiling tiles, and minor repairs
• Basic plumbing fixes (clogs, minor leaks, fixture swaps)
• Assisting with light electrical tasks (low-voltage, simple wiring support)
• Groundskeeping including walkway clearing, debris removal, and seasonal upkeep
• Snow removal and salting during winter months
• Performing routine property checks and reporting maintenance needs
• Completing work orders accurately and on time
• Communicating with supervisors, tenants, and vendors as needed

Schedule

• Part-time, Monday–Friday
• 20 hours per week (9:00 AM – 1:00 PM)

Location

• Downtown Syracuse

Pay

• $24 per hour

Requirements

• General handyman experience (carpentry, drywall, minor repairs)
• Painting, patching, and basic finish work
• Experience with small equipment (lawn mowers, snow blowers, etc.)
• Ability to troubleshoot and complete tasks independently
• Strong attention to detail and time management
• Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working with minimal supervision
