Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and people focused Human Resources Manager to join our team. This role is primarily responsible for delivering comprehensive HR support across the organization, partnering closely with leaders and employees to strengthen performance, engagement, and retention.

Talent Acquisition will form part of the role, with responsibility for supporting and executing full cycle hiring for assigned roles in collaboration with hiring managers and the broader HR team.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional with strong employee relations experience, sound judgement, and the confidence to exercise their professional expertise while skillfully navigating ambiguity and balancing operational HR delivery with coaching and advisory support in a fast-paced agile environment.


Key Responsibilities

    HR Business Partner:

  • Act as a trusted HR partner to managers and employees, supporting day-to-day HR needs and broader organizational objectives.
  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations matters, including performance management, conflict resolution, policy interpretation, and investigations.
  • Support the development and implementation of employee development initiatives, including leadership development, training, and career growth programs.
  • Administer and manage core HR processes such as performance reviews, salary adjustments, promotions, transfers, and employee lifecycle changes.
  • Support workforce planning and succession planning activities in collaboration with department leaders.
  • Analyze employee feedback, exit interviews, and turnover data to identify trends and opportunities to improve engagement and retention.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, internal policies, and HR best practices.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR policies, processes, and tools.
  • Talent Acquisition:

  • Support full-cycle recruitment for assigned roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Partner with hiring managers to clarify role requirements, prepare job descriptions, and coordinate recruitment activities.
  • Post roles to appropriate job boards and networking platforms and support candidate outreach efforts.
  • Conduct interviews and participate in candidate assessments.
  • Support the offer process, including preparing offer documentation and coordinating approvals.
  • Manage the onboarding and scheduling of new hires by coordinating orientations, and first week schedules
  • Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment records and support reporting on hiring activity and metrics.
Desired Skills and Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with demonstrated hands-on responsibility across core HR functions.
    • Experience supporting recruitment activities as part of a broader HR role.
    • Exposure to construction, development, or related industries is an asset.
    • Strong working knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
    • Sound judgment and experience managing employee relation matters.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS platforms (experience with Lever and UKG is an asset).
    • Comfortable navigating and learning new technology and digital tools
    • CPHR designation is an asset.

The annual base pay range for this position will be based on the desired experience level for this role.
