Description
We are looking for a Senior Cloud/DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate secure, scalable, and highly available platforms on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
This role combines cloud architecture, DevOps engineering, and production operations, with a strong focus on automation, reliability, and scalable delivery of enterprise applications.
The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on expertise in AWS, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and cloud operations, and collaborates effectively with engineering, security, and business teams to deliver resilient and cost-efficient solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities
Cloud Architecture & Platform Engineering
- Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available AWS architectures for microservices, APIs, and enterprise systems.
- Translate functional and non-functional requirements (availability, performance, DR, compliance, cost) into robust cloud architecture patterns.
- Define and maintain architecture artefacts (network topology, HA/DR models, scaling strategies).
- Standardize AWS service usage across compute, storage, networking, identity, observability, and security.
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS native tools.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployments, and operational workflows.
- Drive DevOps/SRE best practices (automated testing, blue-green/canary deployments, rollback strategies).
- Operate and optimize AWS services (EC2, ECS/EKS, VPC, IAM, RDS, S3, etc.).
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.
- Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and postmortems.
- Design and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
- Drive cost optimization (FinOps) through right-sizing and architectural improvements.
- Embed security-by-design principles across cloud architecture and pipelines.
- Implement IAM, network security, encryption, and secrets management aligned with AWS best practices.
- Contribute to cloud governance, policies, and standards.
- Design and operate container platforms using ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes.
- Build and manage container image pipelines and registry systems.
- Implement runtime security and scaling strategies.
- Partner with engineering, QA, security, and business teams to align solutions with goals.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and best practice guidance.
- Identify opportunities to improve reliability, reduce operational overhead, and accelerate delivery.
