JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:                       

•  Lead sourcing projects to transition components between suppliers in support of NPI (New Product Introduction) and NSI (New Source Introduction) programs
• Manage sourcing activities for complex iron castings and machined iron castings, including supplier selection and source transitions

• Oversee the full sourcing lifecycle from quotation through production, ensuring alignment with cost, quality, and delivery requirements
• Analyze supplier quotes and total cost of ownership (TCO) to support strategic sourcing decisions
• Coordinate and execute supplier transitions, including managing buffer inventory and tooling transfers associated with source changes
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Category Buyers, Supplier Development Engineers, Design Engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure supplier readiness, quality standards, and volume requirements are met
• Drive sourcing execution within drivetrain programs, ensuring timelines and project milestones are achieved
• Support supplier development initiatives and partner with suppliers to improve performance and readiness
• Lead PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) activities and ensure successful new source introductions
• Prepare and present project updates, risks, and outcomes to key stakeholders

Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s Degree AND 5+ years’ of experience OR
• Master’s Degree AND 3+ years’ of experience OR
• Associate’s Degree AND 7+ years of experience

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Background in Procurement, Quality, and/or Engineering disciplines
• Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives
• Six Sigma certification or experience applying continuous improvement methodologies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
• Experience with PPAP, APQP, and TFC processes is desired
• Foundry and/or machining expertise is preferred
