Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, daily living skills, and household activities.
• Encourage participation in community and recreational activities to enhance social skills and independence.
• Implement individualized care plans and monitor progress, ensuring that each individual's needs are met.
• Document client interactions and report any changes in behavior or health to the appropriate personnel.
• Provide emotional support and companionship, building trusting relationships with clients.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment while adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; experience in a direct support or caregiving role is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with individuals and their families.
• Compassionate, patient, and understanding approach to caregiving.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for community outings.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred, or must be obtained shortly after hire.
