About This Opportunity:

The is a full-time position based in New York City that reports into senior leadership of the childrenswear division. In conjunction with our retail partners, the candidate would be responsible for leading the internal supply chain planning and replenishment process. Primary responsibilities include driving the store merchandise assortment strategy, creating financial and unit buy plans that meet or exceed sales & margin expectations, item creation and management, developing in-season strategy and tactics, and sales reporting and analytics.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Building business financial plans/budgets through data-driven historical analysis, business intelligence, and consumer trends to determine future sales potential
  • Store Merchandise Assortment Strategy (store/style/color level)
  • Item Creation and Maintenance in Garan and customer systems
  • Daily, weekly, monthly category/item forecasting & reporting of sales, inventory, and margin performance.
  • Must be able to leverage data visualization software (Power BI) and possess strong presentation skills to cohesively, and succinctly provide actionable business intelligence that can positively impact P&L.
  • Ability to perform independent analysis and recommend opportunities and courses of action to drive profitable sales and reduced markdowns
  • Collaborate with customers to report sales and track monthly/quarterly budgets and performance

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ retail merchandise planning experience; sales & inventory analysis, forecasting and demand planning
  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills (including with internal and external executive leadership)
  • Ability to partner and communicate with cross-functional teams (design, product development, cost control, production, and distribution)
  • Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and conceptual skills
  • Strong retail math skills a must (margin, turn, return on investment)
  • Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, xlookup, Sumif, etc.) and PowerPoint
  • Supplier One, PowerBI Simparel system knowledge a plus
  • 4-year college degree required, MBA a plus

Salary: $115,000
