Job Summary
The IT Help Desk Technician plays an important role in support of all NS Associates. The ideal candidate must be professional, have exceptional task and time management abilities, keen intuition and strong problem solving, and listening skills. With the reporting matrix and fast-paced environment at the Company, effective interpersonal and relationship management skills are necessary. The successful candidate will be able to respond, calculate, troubleshoot, manage and implement processes along with exceptional follow-up and communication skills. This person will be responsible for all Help Desk and IT related duties and completing them with excellence and minimal supervision.
Essential Functions
· Provide users with technical support for all internal computer problems.
· Install software, resolve user issues, answer questions, educate users on operating equipment.
· Meet with department heads, managers, supervisors, end users, vendors, and others, to solicit cooperation and resolve problems.
· Review technical needs to plan and coordinate project activity.
· Review, report and implement facility IT activities and initiatives.
· Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance.
· Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
· Confer with third-party system provider to design system and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
· Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements.
· Manage, program and maintain phone lines and data log associated with phone numbers and voice mail.
Requirements
Competencies or Experience Requirements
· 2 years or more experience in a professional work environment as Help Desk Technician in a complex, multi-user environment or similar role.
· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to build strong relationships with others.
· Resourceful, proactive in problem solving and stress tolerant.
· Demonstrated ability to organize, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
· Acute attention to detail.
· Capacity to work autonomously in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment.
· Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
· Outstanding team player who exemplifies NS vision, mission, and values.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· High sense of urgency.
· Proficiency in Windows and MAC OS and tools.
· Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

The hourly rate for this position is $19.23/hour – 23.00/hour.
