Position Summary

The Operations Specialist is responsible for providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers, with a primary emphasis on wire transfers and fraud prevention and resolution. This position provides various regular and recurring operational and accounting functions to support First Southern National Bank operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with reconciling and balancing general ledger accounts and other bank accounts.
• Communicate with customers and branches to process all debit card disputes.
• Maintain knowledge of all procedures associated with all functions in the Operations Department.
• Draft new and update existing procedures to streamline operational functions as needed.
• Prepare and submit timely and accurate reports as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist in resolving problems within the given authority.
• Comply with all laws and banking regulations, as applicable.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or another related field OR two plus years of related banking or accounting experience required.
• Proficient level of computer competency, including Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent interpersonal, service, and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
• Dependable and a quick learner.
