Responsibilities
- Review project plans and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Conduct site visits to evaluate project scope and gather necessary information for accurate estimation.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure that all estimates align with the company's high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and best practices to provide comprehensive estimates.
- Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors regarding estimates and project details.
- Analyze historical data to improve future project estimates and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure timely submission of estimates and follow up with clients regarding any questions or revisions.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry, preferably in roofing or general contracting.
- Strong understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills to evaluate project costs and risks.
- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing thorough and accurate estimates.
