OB/GYN Laborist
FT
Salary: $335,510 annual base guarantee (2 years) + Performance Incentives + Sign-On + Relocation
This full-time OB/GYN Laborist opportunity offers a flexible schedule of seven (7) 24-hour shifts per month, providing dedicated inpatient obstetric coverage. The Laborist supports a team of eleven Obstetricians and averages approximately three deliveries per 24-hour shift.
Responsibilities include managing labor and delivery, performing deliveries, triaging obstetric emergencies, and rounding on postpartum and antepartum inpatients (approximately 5–10 patients daily). Comprehensive backup support is available from on-site Obstetricians and a hospitalist group.
The hospital features a Level III NICU, 24-hour dedicated anesthesia coverage for labor and delivery, 24-hour Neonatologist support, and 24-hour Pediatric Hospitalist coverage—ensuring a highly supported clinical environment.
EPIC EMR is utilized. This is an excellent opportunity for physicians seeking shift-based practice with strong institutional support and predictable scheduling.
Requirements
Requirements to Apply
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
- Active, unrestricted California medical license (or ability to obtain)
- Current DEA registration
- Experience managing labor & delivery and inpatient OB care
Preferred
- Experience in hospital-based or Laborist model
- Team-oriented approach within collaborative OB programs
