About the Role
We’re looking for a dependable and service-oriented Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day maintenance operations of a luxury residential facility. Reporting to the Chief Building Engineer, this role plays a key part in keeping common areas and residential units operating smoothly, safely, and efficiently. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on skills who enjoys variety and takes pride in quality work.
What You’ll Do
- Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs in common areas and residential units.
- Handle entry-level tasks including light plumbing, basic electrical work, painting, drywall patching, carpentry, and lock repairs.
- Assist with HVAC-related tasks such as filter replacement and basic inspections.
- Support move-ins and move-outs by preparing common areas and assisting with logistics.
- Escort vendors and contractors, operate freight elevators as needed, and conduct walkthroughs before and after work is completed.
- Assist with general building upkeep, porter duties, and package handling when needed.
- Serve as backup support to the Maintenance Supervisor when required.
Requirements
What You Need to Succeed
- 3+ years of general maintenance experience or strong mechanical aptitude.
- Willingness to be on-call or respond to after-hours emergencies.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills.
- Reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, resident-focused environment.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in residential facilities is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems (BAS) to ensure operational efficiency and safety
- Experience with general repairs and troubleshooting
- Good understanding of safety protocols and regulations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
