This is a full-time position and a 6-month contract.
Responsibilities:
Serve as on-site representation to ensure supplier focus on delivering part numbers on time, meeting production schedules, and complying with contracted quality and technical requirements.
Manage and expedite production flow on the shop floor, ensuring adherence to daily and weekly production priorities.
Identify and mitigate process constraints, production bottlenecks, quality issues, material shortages, and inspection/logistics gaps.
Review and analyze production plans to identify risks and escalate issues proactively.
Drive accountability within supplier teams and promote a strong sense of urgency to meet commitments.
Participate actively in daily stand-up meetings with Production, Quality, and Leadership teams.
Monitor backlog, demand signals, and operational performance using Excel and other reporting tools.
Provide coaching and mentorship to junior supervisors and production leaders.
Deliver daily and weekly status reports outlining progress, risks, and recovery actions.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering is a plus but not required
High School Diploma + minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience in a maquiladora environment
Minimum 6 years of experience in manufacturing, production control, or operations leadership (preferred for senior-level roles)
Bilingual: Spanish and English required
Excel proficiency
Experience in production control, scheduling, planning, or shop floor supervision
Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required by production schedule
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in composites and/or plastics manufacturing
Background in aerospace production environments
Experience supporting supplier recovery or quality improvement initiatives
Strong understanding of process flow, part number nomenclature, and escalation/reporting processes
