Skid Steer Operator-Turkey Farms Operations at Prestage

Description

Prestage Farms is seeking a dependable Skid Steer Operator to support turkey farm operations by cleaning turkey houses and operating heavy equipment. This role is essential to maintaining biosecurity, safety, and operational efficiency across our farms.

Requirements

• Operate skid steer and other equipment to remove turkey litter and clean houses
• Sweep and prepare turkey houses according to company standards
• Perform routine equipment servicing and preventative maintenance
• Follow strict biosecurity, safety, and environmental procedures
• Maintain required work records and documentation
• Communicate regularly with supervisor regarding assignments and needs
• Regular lifting and use of equipment such as backpack blowers
• Frequent use of hands, arms, and manual tools
• Exposure to farm environments, dust, and equipment hazards
• Vision abilities including close, distance, and depth perception
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Six (6) months to one (1) year equipment operation experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license required
• No recent moving violations or safety-related driving violations
• Ability to safely operate heavy equipment
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong attention to safety and detail

ADA Requirements

• Ability to walk, stoop, bend, climb, repetitive motions, see and distinguish colors, hear, and lift up to 50lbs
