We're looking for an experienced FPA&IT Controlling to join our COFRA team in Porto. You will join a multi-generational family business with a commitment to achieve systemic change across Liveable Cities, Responsible Capital, Clean Energy and Sustainable Food together with our management teams and mission-aligned external partners.
About the role
This role serves as a financial partner within COFRA Holding, focusing on non‑divisional management reporting and budgeting. It aims to optimize financial processes, enhance data accuracy, and foster collaborative relationships across the organization.
This function plays a central role in driving financial performance, strategic planning, and decision support. It owns key elements of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, while partnering closely with leadership and business teams to ensure data-driven decision‑making.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead annual budgeting and quarterly outlook processes across the organization, including quarterly forecasts, financial and liquidity planning. Monitor actuals against budget and forecast/outlook.
- Work closely with stakeholders, supporting them with budgeting and forecasting. Be recognized as a trusted financial advisor and a valuable contact for all finance matters.
- Improve processes to deliver faster, higher‑quality data and analysis.
- Build trust to increase alignment, acceptance, and awareness across the organization.
- Analyse the P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Provide monthly and quarterly variance analyses (actuals vs budget/forecast).
- Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Play a key role in further automation and enhancement of budgeting, forecasting processes, reporting workflows and financial systems. Maintain data accuracy and integrity across financial systems.
What You Bring
- 6–10 years of experience.
- Advanced Excel skills required; exposure to BI tools and OneStream is a strong asset.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Experience as an IT Finance Business Partner.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Business, Economics, or related fields.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive stakeholder interactions with professionalism.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset.
- Ability to simplify complex financial topics for non‑financial stakeholders.
- Proactive, curious, and comfortable challenging assumptions.
- High attention to detail with a continuous‑improvement mentality.
- Experience working in multinational organizations is an advantage.
- English (required).
