What is a day in the life of a Senior Tax Accountant?
- Own and execute end-to-end accounting processes, including daily GL and AP reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries supporting monthly close activities
- Analyze margin calculations and billings, including chargebacks related to brand promotional activities
- Review balance sheet accounts and P&L performance, investigating and resolving variances
- Produce and validate financial reports, ensuring data integrity and clear documentation
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Brands, and Operations to resolve discrepancies and improve processes
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, strengthen controls, and improve reporting efficiency
- Support accounting team in quarterly financial reporting and internal control activities
What will I need to thrive in this role?
- BS in Accounting required3-5 years of industry experience; brand management experience preferred
- Organized and analytical with relentless attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Tableau experience and/or familiar with large datasets preferred
- Self-directed and willing to take ownership of responsibilities
- Natural ability and desire to work on a team
- Excellent professional communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task based on current demands

What does success look like in the first 30, 60, 90 days?
- 30 Days: Build a strong foundation by learning end-to-end accounting processes, systems, and reporting cadence, while developing relationships with key partners across E-commerce, Brands, and Finance. Gain a clear understanding of GL structure, reconciliations, margin calculations, and close timelines.
- 60 Days: Independently own core responsibilities including GL and AP reconciliations, journal entries, margin billing, and financial reporting, while identifying gaps or inefficiencies in current processes. Begin proactively partnering with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and improve accuracy and timeliness.
- 90 Days: Operate as a trusted partner by driving process improvements, strengthening controls, and delivering reliable balance sheet and P&L insights. Develop and present strategic recommendations to support scalability, automation, and future growth across E-commerce and SaaS initiatives. Confidently and clearly communicate with brand partners.
What is the team like?
- You will work with the Accounting team and be supervised by the Brand Accounting Manager. You will also be mentored by the VP of accounting and meet with them on a regular basis to discuss your performance. This team is data driven and results oriented. You will collaborate regularly with members of your team to implement actionable solutions. Ideas and input are encouraged from all members.
