Responsibilities
Windows Retail Channel Strategy

Define and evolve the global Windows retail channel strategy to drive growth, deepen partner engagement, and enable scalable execution.

Align strategy with consumer demand signals, portfolio priorities, and regional execution realities.
Retail Category GTM Briefs
-
Deliver clear, actionable GTM (go to market) briefs for Top Market Maker retailers, including collections, assortment intent, compliance expectations, and success metrics.

Ensure consistent execution of Windows priorities through moments such as CES, Executive Briefings, and seasonal market motions.
Portfolio‑to‑Retail Translation

Translate OEM (original equipment manufacturers), silicon, and Windows portfolio roadmaps into practical retail guidance for assortment, positioning, and execution.

Influence offers and promotions (financing, bundles, attach strategies) to win share across key price bands and consumer segments.
Channel Marketing Enablement

Provide crisp retail priorities to enable Channel Marketing activation through aligned campaigns, merchandising, and purchase storytelling.

Ensure in‑store and online retail experiences clearly communicate value, simplify choice, and improve conversion.
Retail Performance Loop

Build a conversion‑led performance insight loop with Planning and Business Groups.

Use retail performance learnings to continuously refine strategy, roadmap inputs, collections, and category guidance.
Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
- 4+ years category management, product management, marketing strategy, business planning, product planning, or related work experience AND Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent experience.
Preferred or additional qualifications

8+ years of experience in retail GTM (go to market), channel strategy, category management, or sales/marketing execution within a global consumer technology environment.

Understanding of retail partner dynamics, field‑managed execution models, and conversion drivers.

Experience translating strategy and portfolio complexity into clear, actionable guidance.

Demonstrated influence across cross‑functional teams (Planning, Marketing, Business Groups, Finance) without direct authority.

Communication skills with a bias for execution, clarity, and measurable outcomes.
Category Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
