The Role
As part of the acquisition of PwC’s Australian Restructuring practice in September 2025, we have created customer‑focused Junior IT Service Desk Analyst role to join our Technology team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1–2 years’ IT experience who enjoys problem‑solving, working with modern cloud technologies, and providing great user support.
You will act as the first point of contact for IT issues, gaining exposure to a wide range of systems including Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, and enterprise collaboration tools. With strong mentorship and on‑the‑job learning, you’ll develop your technical skills to progress within the IT function.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for all IT support inquiries via email, walk‑ups, and the ticketing system.
- Provide first‑line troubleshooting for laptops, desktops, mobile devices, peripherals, AV/meeting room equipment, and common business applications.
- Carry out basic second‑line tasks under guidance, escalating issues where appropriate.
- Deliver clear, friendly, and timely updates to users on the progress of their requests.
- Build, configure, and deploy Windows 11 devices using Intune and Autopilot.
- Support the setup and maintenance of user hardware, including laptops, mobile phones, and accessories.
- Manage assets, tracking, returns, and inventory upkeep.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including user account creation, access provisioning, licence assignments, and permissions updates.
- Assist with routine Microsoft 365 administration (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Exchange Online).
- Assist the wider team with IT projects such as hardware refresh programmes, application rollouts, cloud migrations, and security initiatives.
- Shadow senior analysts and engineers, gaining hands‑on exposure to more advanced technologies and workflows.
Requirements
- 1–2 years’ experience in an IT support or service desk role.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Good understanding of Windows 11 and Microsoft 365.
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Organised, proactive and eager to learn.
- Exposure to Intune, Azure AD, Autopilot or PowerShell.
- Experience with an ITSM tool (e.g., FreshService, ServiceNow, Jira Service Management).
- CompTIA A+, Network+ or Microsoft fundamentals certifications.
