Job Purpose:
We are seeking a UI/UX Designer to lead the design strategy and execution of Vego Garden’s digital experience across web and e-commerce platforms.
This role goes beyond visual design, you will define the UX vision, build scalable design systems, manage designers, and partner closely with Growth, Product, Marketing, and Engineering to drive conversion, retention, and brand impact. You will play a critical role in shaping how millions of gardeners experience Vego Garden online.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Own the overall UI/UX vision and strategy for Vego Garden’s website and digital platforms.
- Elevate brand perception through design, ensuring a premium, cohesive, and consistent brand experience across all digital touchpoints.
- Build, maintain, and evolve design systems and UX standards to ensure brand and design consistency at scale.
- Lead the design of user experiences across key e-commerce journeys DTC to improve conversion, engagement, and brand impact.
- Manage and mentor UI/UX designers, ensuring high-quality and scalable design output.
- Build and maintain a unified design system and UX standards across all digital touchpoints.
- Partner closely with Growth, Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams to align design with business objectives.
- Drive data-informed design decisions through user research, analytics, and experimentation (CRO, A/B testing).
- Oversee collaboration with offshore designer and development teams to ensure efficient and accurate implementation.
- Continuously improve design processes, workflows, and cross-functional communication.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Art or a related major.
- 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or senior role.
- Strong experience in e-commerce or DTC brands (Shopify preferred).
- Proven track record of designing high-performing digital experiences.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and Figma.
- Understanding of basic front-end languages: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
- Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
- Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
Physical Demands:
This position primarily involves working at a desk and operating a computer for prolonged periods with moderate walking and standing.
Job Location and Work Schedule:
- This is a full-time, on-site position based out of Tomball, TX.
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid schedule with one remote workday per week and four days onsite.

- Monday through Friday.
- 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Lunch break 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm.

- The salary range is $70,000 - $90,000
