Shop Helper Responsibilities:
Assist service technicians and other employees by bringing appropriate supplies and equipment to workspace and then putting them away after use.
Cleans work areas, cleans shop floor, empties garbage, collects scrap and used materials then process according to company policy.
Prepares vehicles to come into the shop for service work to be performed; remove snow, etc.
Cleaning company owned vehicles as directed.
Move vehicles from one area to another within the dealership including bringing completed vehicles to the main entrance as a customer service.
Record ONE Videos when needed and communicate with service dept. when completed.
Perform test drives on customers vehicles to verify service repairs are complete.
Cleans vehicles prior to delivering to customers.
Performs additional duties related to the warehouse as directed by the parts manager such as, but not limited to, putting stock orders away, picking required parts, cleaning warehouse, organizing as directed.
Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment.
Comply with all laws and regulations pertaining to working with hazardous materials. Report any deviations to management immediately.
Communicate with Service Supervisors and Parts Manager if additional work is needed
Understands the terminology of the automobile business and keep abreast of technological changes in the product

Shop Helper Requirements:
High school diploma or the equivalent or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Holds and maintains a valid AZ or DZ driver’s license.
Knowledge of trucks, tools, parts and an overall shop environment.
Outstanding attention to detail with a commitment to quality
Able to wear all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer
Able to take direction from multiple employees and prioritize work
Good communication skills including the ability to listen to customers and determine how to assist them
Ability to work well in a team environment
Ability to use technical reference materials and manuals in written and online formats
Ability to communicate technical terms to non-technical audience
 Ability to follow processes to ensure quality and safety
Effective time management skills and ability to prioritize

$20-$24 hourly
