Description

  • Create and maintain project documentation and plans, to include project timelines, resource allocations, and budgets
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential project challenges
  • Establish project governance and communication protocols
  • Lead and manage geographically dispersed project teams, providing guidance, motivation, and performance feedback
  • Coordinate and facilitate project meetings, ensuring clear communication and action items
  • Monitor project progress and performance against plan, identifying and addressing deviations
  • Track project budget and expenditures, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines
  • Manage project risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans
  • Utilize project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) to effectively manage projects
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders on a regular basis
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with project goals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization
  • Act as a liaison between the IT department and other business units
  • Ensure project deliverables are completed and meet quality standards
  • Conduct project closure activities, including documentation, knowledge transfer, and stakeholder sign-off
  • Evaluate project performance and identify lessons learned for future projects
  • Prepare and present project reports to management.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in project management
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of project management methodologies and processes
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools
  • Lead and motivate project teams, providing guidance and direction
  • Successfully communicate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Identify and resolve project issues
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education/Training: 

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other relevant discipline preferred
    • Certified Associate of Project Management (CAPM) required

Experience:

    • 6+ years of general professional experience required
    • 5+ years of direct experience in IT Project Management required  

Security:

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Candidate must be in possession of a minimum DoD issued Secret Clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms
  • Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk
  • Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)
  • Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time

Salary: $110,000 - $135,000

Salary rates for this position are competitive and commensurate with experience and industry standards. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that may include health insurance, paid time off, and retirement savings options.
