This is a contingent position, meaning employment is dependent upon the successful award of the associated contract to Aretum and completion of any required background investigation or security clearance verification.

Job Summary

The Personnel Vetting SME will provide support by enabling personnel vetting expertise to combine with data analysis and compliance and oversight reviews. They will will provide suggested reports, data fields, and metrics to the data analysts to consider in the Data Management Plan.

Due to the nature of our work as a federal consulting organization, employees may be expected to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and must adhere to applicable safeguarding and compliance requirements. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide personnel vetting subject matter expertise for compliance and oversight reviews.
  • Review and provide recommendations on vetting policy alignment with current regulations and standards.
  • Assist in providing updates or new suggestions of policy advisories and training areas based on personnel vetting reform, new regulations and directives, and compliance review outcomes.
  • Apply principles, methods and knowledge of the functional area of capability to specific task order requirements, advanced personnel vetting principles and methods to exceptionally difficult and narrowly defined requirements regarding personnel vetting reforms, timelines, and metrics.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for all questions and concerns regarding vetting processes.
  • Collaborate with management to develop best practices for vetting operations.
  • Assist in the implementation of new vetting technologies and tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of experience of demonstrated functional and technical experience in the Personnel Security/Vetting industry within the Federal government.
  • Comprehensive understanding of federal vetting regulations and policies.
  • Proven analytical skills with a strong ability to assess processes and recommend enhancements.
  • Demonstrated expertise in current initiatives involving Trusted Workforce Core Doctrine.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering training materials.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently as needed.

Travel Requirements

Travel to client locations is required for this position and may vary based on project needs.
