Your role and responsibilities

The Payroll Confirm Resource position is responsible for coordinating, validating, and finalizing pay confirmations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with Government of Canada payroll policies. The role requires close collaboration with functional, technical, and Crown teams to resolve issues, maintain data integrity, and continuously improve payroll operations. Key Responsibilities • Oversee and execute payroll confirmation activities, ensuring all pre- and post-pay processes are completed accurately and on schedule. •Review and validate payroll results, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate resolution efforts across functional and technical support teams. •Maintain detailed documentation and reporting for payroll confirmations, ensuring transparency and audit readiness. •Support recurring payroll cycles and related activities, including error corrections, reversals, and clean-up tasks as required. •Participate in governance discussions, provide updates on payroll status and issues, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. •Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to ensure alignment on schedules, priorities, and payroll-related deliverables.

Required technical and professional expertise

Candidates must be located in Canada and must have Eligibility for Security Clearance.

• Strong understanding of end-to-end payroll processing and reconciliation practices with PeopleSoft Payroll.

• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and data accuracy.

• Proven ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced operational environment.

• Effective communicator with experience collaborating across multiple teams and stakeholders.

•Prior experience in large scale payroll operations or public sector environments is an asset.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Payroll Operations & Accuracy - Solid understanding of end-to-end payroll processing, validation, and reconciliation with strong attention to detail and data integrity.

• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills - Proven ability to investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies efficiently while maintaining service continuity.

• Collaboration & Communication - Effective at working with functional, technical, and Crown partners in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Professional & Sector Knowledge - Experience with PeopleSoft Payroll or other large scale payroll systems and familiarity with public sector pay structures. PCP or equivalent certification an asset.
