We seek a highly motivated Scientist II to join a dynamic team and independently design, execute and analyze experimental studies in support of client-sponsored research projects. This role requires strong technical expertise in assay development and interpretation of large proteomic datasets. A background in immunology or neuroscience with hands-on experience in immunoassays is desired. The Scientist II will work closely with the TAP Manager to complete projects within defined timelines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and mentor junior members to ensure high quality data generation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Execute and coordinate multiplex immunoassay projects from study design, assay set-up, and sequencing to data analysis within pre-determined timelines and with minimal supervision
- Analyze, interpret and troubleshoot experimental data and implement mitigation strategies to optimize workflows and ensure high caliber of data
- Serve as a technical and operations lead on assigned client projects to schedule projects, manage day-to-day laboratory operations and develop standardized protocols
- Mentor junior members to provide technical guidance and work closely with the TAP Manager to maintain project timelines and high level of accuracy in data generation and reporting
- Compile and present multiplex proteomic data to internal and external stakeholders in written and oral formats
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to integrate new assays into the TAP pipeline and lead method development, validation and continuous process improvement to enable efficient scaling
Requirements:
- Masters or PhD degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related discipline with a minimum of 3-4 years of immunoassay experience
- Strong hands-on experience with advanced immunoassay technologies and sequencing workflows
- Demonstrated ability to independently execute and troubleshoot experiments
- Proficient with analyses and interpretation of large multiplex proteomic datasets
- Client-focused mindset and proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment; prior experience in a CRO environment highly preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Ability to disseminate and summarize scientific literature to a broad interdisciplinary audience
- Experience with mentoring research associates and working in a highly collaborative setting with high scientific rigor and attention to detail
The base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000 - $150,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The ranges displayed on each job posting reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries but are subject to change if the leveling of the role is adjusted.
