Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Nutanix Resident Engineer to provide onsite expertise and operational support for a Nutanix environment with a primary focus on AHV. This role will play a critical part in post-deployment operations, administration, and virtualization migration efforts, while serving as a trusted technical resource for the customer.

Given the scope of this engagement, the ideal candidate will bring strong infrastructure expertise combined with working knowledge of relational databases—particularly Oracle—as they relate to Nutanix deployments.

• Nutanix AHV

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support migration efforts from VMware ESXi to Nutanix AHV
• Provide post-deployment administration and operational support for Nutanix environments
• Manage and support Unified Storage within Nutanix
• Assist with the migration and ongoing support of Oracle databases hosted on Nutanix infrastructure
• Act as an onsite technical advisor, ensuring platform stability, performance, and best practices
• Collaborate with customer teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize configurations, and support day-to-day operations
• Provide guidance on infrastructure considerations related to relational database workloads on Nutanix

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Nutanix AHV
• US citizen
• Proven experience with ESXi to AHV migrations
• Solid background in post-deployment operations and administration
• Experience supporting Nutanix Unified Storage
• Familiarity with Oracle databases, particularly in the context of infrastructure and platform migrations
• Understanding of relational database administration as it relates to Nutanix infrastructure (deep DBA expertise not required)

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Nutanix Database Service (NDB)

Salary: 120-130K
