The Internal Operations Manager position is fast paced and self-motivating and includes, but is not limited to the following responsibilities:

  • Overseeing customer communication, dispatch, job scheduling, parts orders, technician timecards, KPI reporting, etc.
  • Manage overall office support of the field including creating and measuring KPIs to hold oneself and the team accountable
  • Monitor team performance and provide feedback to support, develop, and train them to the best employees they can be.
  • Facilitate weekly 1:1's with all direct reports allowing them to raise goals or hurdles
  • Manage permitting process for all Ferguson Roofing service departments ensuring Ferguson remains in compliance in local and state regulations
  • Support, and were requested, manage price increases for Ferguson Roofing Operations
  • Work with Ferguson Field Management to ensure unified best-in-class processes between all Ferguson Roofing teams
  • Take accountability for daily results and create active plans to maintain, correct, or create positive revenue trends
  • Be positive and cultivate the joys of working for Ferguson Roofing
  • Partner with HBSG leaders to ensure Ferguson Roofing's needs are being met at a high standard.

Specific examples include:

  • Responsible for processes and communication with Central accounting team
  • Act as liaison to marketing team
  • Collaborate real-time to resolve CXR ticket accuracy issues
  • Partner with IT to improve and then manage efficient onboardings
  • Work with accounting team to manage and oversee the job completion process

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations or a customer-facing role, preferably in the residential service industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal teams, installation crews, and vendors.
  • Hands-on approach with a proactive mindset and willingness to assist team members as needed to ensure success.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in vendor discussions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively resolve customer concerns and conflicts requiring management involvement.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and some Saturdays, based on seasonal business needs.
