Job Summary

In this crucial role, you will lead proactive cybersecurity efforts to protect and strengthen client systems against evolving threats and vulnerabilities. The SODO is responsible for assessing risk, implementing security controls, and ensuring continuous monitoring and improvement of cybersecurity posture across environments.

Due to the nature of our work as a federal consulting organization, employees may be expected to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and must adhere to applicable safeguarding and compliance requirements. 

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the timely and effective use of Air Tasking Order (ATO) assigned assets.
  • Responsible for monitoring assets, and how assess deviations affect the ATO, and make necessary adjustments while coordinating with all affected agencies.
  • Function as the Operational Expertise Act expert and go-to on doctrinal processes for all positions under the SODO, including CASDO, INTDO, BDO, CSAR, TST, and EW/SEAD. 
  • Provide expertise on capability degradation, tactics, and threat areas.
  • Function as the Exercise Execution Replicate on one or multiple AOC positions as required during exercises.
  • Tasked to perform the duties of the Chief of Combat Ops (CCO), coordinating with the Joint Exercise Control Group (JECG) to ensure training objectives are met.
  • Function as the liaison and attend planning conferences as the AOC representative and may be tasked as a Liaison Officer (LNO) at forward exercise locations.

Requirements

  • 5 years minimum, broken down as follows:
    • Minimum of 3 years progressive AOC experience working as a Combat Operations Duty Officer (examples- FDO, SEAD DO, TCT Chief, Interdiction DO, CAS DO) and culminating as SODO or CCO.
    • Minimum of 2 years as Offensive Operations Team Mentor, Offensive Operations White Cell member or AOC Combat Ops Instructions
  • Operational Experience: Must have a background in bomber, fighter, or air battle management. Pilot, Navigator, or Air Battle Manager experience is required.
  • Doctrinal Knowledge: Deep familiarity with AFTTP 3-3 and the doctrinal processes for all positions that fall under the SODO.
  • Systems Proficiency: Must be a Subject Matter Expert in the Falconer Weapon System and all common tools used on an AOC operations floor.
  • AOC Understanding: A comprehensive understanding of all AOC positions that interact with the SODO and its subordinate cells.
  • Adaptability: The ability to travel to planning conferences and serve as an LNO at various exercise locations.

Preferred

  • Ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree

Travel Requirements

This is an onsite position; however, occasional travel may be required based on project needs, client meetings, team collaboration events, or training sessions. Travel is expected to be as much as 25% and will be communicated in advance whenever possible.
