PRN position available. Weekdays only, no weekends or holidays, Typical shift is 6:30-1700. This position assists in the treatment and care of patients in the Operating Room under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse. Provides assistance to the Operating Room staff by scrubbing in for surgical procedures in accordance with the established policies and procedures. This responsibility includes the preparation, assembly and organization of the environment, equipment and supplies necessary to perform the surgical procedure scheduled.

Requirements

One year minimum operating room experience required; an emphasis in orthopedics highly desired.

Education:  Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program or formal training as an O.R. Technician with a minimum of one-year experience.  Preferably certified as a surgical technologist.  Current BLS certification.
