The Daily Wire is seeking a detail-driven and people-focused Benefits Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for employee benefits support. In this highly visible role, you will ensure accurate benefits administration, maintain strong vendor relationships, and contribute to a positive employee experience. You will work closely with the HR team and an external Benefits Broker to support day-to-day benefits operations, reporting, and the annual open enrollment process.
Primary Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and leave-related benefits
Support benefits onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire enrollments and employee terminations
Partner with the Benefits Broker to manage enrollments, life events, eligibility updates, and issue resolution
Assist with planning, communication, and execution of annual open enrollment, including employee education and system testing
Reconcile, audit, and process monthly insurance invoices to ensure accuracy and timely payment
Maintain accurate benefits data across HRIS and benefits administration platforms
Run recurring and ad hoc benefits reports, including eligibility, enrollment, billing, and census data
Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state benefits regulations and support process improvements and HR projects as needed
Experience & Requirements
1–2 years of experience in benefits administration, HR operations, or a related role.
Working knowledge of employee benefits programs and vendor relationships
Strong attention to detail with the ability to reconcile complex billing data
Experience running reports and working with HRIS and/or benefits administration systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer-service mindset
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Exposure to annual open enrollment planning and execution
Familiarity with ACA reporting, COBRA administration, or other benefits compliance requirements
