Senior Product Data & Tools Specialist
Location: India (Remote / Hybrid)
Department: Product Operations
Reports to: Director, Product Operations
About the Role
Celigo is seeking a Senior Product Data & Tools Specialist to join our Product Operations team.
At Celigo, Product Operations empowers product teams to build and deliver high-impact solutions by driving operational excellence, strategic alignment, and data-driven decision-making. Through scalable systems, transparency, and alignment with company objectives, we create a high-performing, customer-centric product organization that delivers measurable business value.
In this role, you’ll serve as the technical and analytical backbone of our Product organization - owning key tools like Pendo, building integrations with Snowflake and other systems, and enabling insights that guide product decisions.
This is a hands-on and strategic role. You’ll identify gaps and opportunities, propose improvements, and execute solutions that make product data accessible, accurate, and actionable. You’ll act as a trusted partner to Product leadership, proactively improving how we manage product data, tooling, and analytics foundations to support the entire Product organization.
You will lead the operational and technical enablement of product analytics - defining standards, building scalable data foundations, and ensuring product teams have the insights they need to make confident, data-informed decisions. This position requires a unique blend of technical acumen, product understanding, and strategic thinking.
What You’ll Do
Product Data Strategy & Enablement
- Define and maintain the foundational tracking and analytics framework that supports product measurement and insights.
- Partner with Product Ops and Product leadership to align product goals, metrics, and data availability.
- Translate product questions into data requirements and work with Analysts, Researchers, and Engineers to fulfill them.
- Champion data quality, governance, and documentation, ensuring consistent definitions and reliable analytics foundations.
- Act as the subject-matter expert for product analytics tools, integrations, and event data within the Product organization.
- Lead initiatives to improve how the Product org collects, structures, and uses product data - identifying gaps and independently driving solutions.
Product Analytics
- Partner with Product Managers, Analysts, and Researchers to provide clean, well-structured datasets that enable product usage analysis and insights.
- Work with stakeholders to design tracking plans, monitor key product KPIs, and support goal measurement.
- Collaborate with the Celigo Data team to source or model product data from Snowflake and ensure accurate joins across datasets.
- Build new datasets or derived tables as needed to answer key product questions.
- Support cross-functional initiatives such as customer migrations and product transitions with data tracking and analytics.
- Recommend and implement scalable solutions to enhance data reliability, visibility, and tool adoption.
- Partner with Product Ops leadership to define the long-term strategy for product data and tooling enablement.
Integrations & Automation
- Build and maintain integrations and data flows across Pendo, Snowflake, Jira, and other systems using the Celigo platform (integrator.io).
- Design, document, and monitor reliable data pipelines to keep information accurate and consistent across tools and systems.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual workflows and increase data efficiency.
Tools Administration & Governance
- Serve as the administrator for product tools like Pendo and LogRocket — managing configurations, tagging, segments, roles, and permissions.
- Oversee Product org onboarding and offboarding, ensuring tool access, license management, and compliance.
- Establish standards and best practices for tool usage, event tagging, and product data tracking.
- Evaluate new tools and technologies that improve scalability, visibility, and data access across the Product org.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
Experience & Technical Skills
- 8+ years of experience in a B2B SaaS environment in roles such as Product Operations, Product Analytics, Data Engineering, or SaaS Tool Administration.
- Strong technical understanding of SaaS products and web applications.
- Proven experience managing and configuring product analytics tools (Pendo, Amplitude, Mixpanel, etc.).
- Strong understanding of product analytics best practices, including tracking plans, event taxonomies, and metrics frameworks.
- Experience designing or maintaining event-based tracking and instrumentation frameworks.
- Proven ability to translate business and product questions into data requirements.
- Experience with data warehouses (Snowflake preferred) and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.).
- Hands-on experience building integrations, working with APIs, and understanding data modeling concepts.
- Comfortable writing SQL and basic scripting in JavaScript or Python.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Product Managers, Analysts, Designers, Researchers, and Engineers.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent practical experience).
Strategic & Leadership Skills
- Ability to lead through influence, driving adoption of best practices across teams without direct authority.
- Experience evangelizing product data, training others on using analytics tools, and communicating the value of data-driven decisions.
- Strong understanding of product metrics hierarchies (activation, adoption, engagement, retention, etc.) and how to operationalize them.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills — able to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Highly self-directed with the ability to spot gaps, design solutions, and execute independently.
Comfortable balancing speed with governance, ensuring data quality without slowing product delivery.
