Veterinarian – Flexible Work Models Available

• Salary: $110,000 - $150,000 per year + pro-sal

Olde Towne Animal Hospital is hiring a full-time, part-time, or seasonal Veterinarian to provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care to a variety of animals, including cats, dogs, and exotics.

Choose the structure that fits your life. All models include no on-call or holiday shifts, access to a hospital car for transport between the train and hospital, and schedule customization to support LIRR commute timing.

• Traditional Year-Round Full-Time: 4-5 days per week, targeting 30–40 hours per week year-round
• “Summer-Full, Winter-Free”: Work full-time during May–October or April–October, with 60–62 hours per week. Take November–April fully off while maintaining full-time employment status and benefits year-round
• “Seasonal Swap”: Work May–October in Southampton and November–April at a warm-weather VPP partner hospital (FL, TX, AZ, SC, GA, or similar). Maintain 30+ hours per week year-round with consistent pay and benefits

What to Expect

• A schedule that respects your time. Our last appointment of the day is at 4:30pm. You won’t be expected to stay late or be on call.
• A 2:1 staff to doctor ratio. You will have the support—and respect—you need to be excellent for our patients. Our current team consists of 5 DVMs, 2 LVT (both highly experienced with 30+ years industry experience), 6 Assistants, and 7 CSRs. We also have access to a board-certified surgeon.

Requirements:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree from an accredited institution
• Valid veterinary license in the state of New York
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred

Olde Towne Animal Hospital in Southampton, NY is a full-service, AAHA accredited small animal practice known for compassionate, high-quality care. The state-of-the-art facility is equipped with advanced diagnostics and treatment capabilities including IDEXX in-house lab testing, digital and dental X-ray, endoscopy, EKG, blood pressure monitoring, Tonovet eye testing, and comprehensive medical therapies. Cardiac and abdominal ultrasound and ultrasound guided biopsies are available through an ACVIM boarded internist, allowing for advanced case support while keeping care local.
