Compensation*: Competitive starting salary: $70,200 - $87,000 commensurate with skills and experience, Full Pay Range: $70,200 – 103,800

Our Location
Energy Trust provides for a range of work location options, including remote, hybrid and in-office work. This position will represent Energy Trust in public settings and potentially at community events. We are open to candidates who live throughout Oregon and Washington. The Project Manager - Commercial would be expected to report to the office on a quarterly basis, at minimum.
What We’re Looking For:
The Project Manager – Commercial is responsible for coordinating and supporting the day-to-day delivery of the Energy Trust of Oregon small business offerings. This position will manage external contractors with the support of the Commercial and Industrial/Agriculture Program Managers. The Project Manager – Commercial ensures consistency across internal and external teams and spearheads initiatives to streamline and enhance program design and delivery by identifying process gaps, recommending improvements, and supporting implementation to improve efficiency, customer experience, and delivery quality while remaining aligned with established program strategy and requirements. This role involves cross-sector collaboration, working closely with key stakeholders from other departments to align shared goals.
This position is expected to report to the Portland office quarterly at a minimum for all staff and other in-person meetings.
What You’ll Do:
- Coordinate with Program Managers to manage components of offers designed to engage small business customers. Track and report on annual goals and deliverables for the small business offerings, ensuring intent of offerings are met and customer service standards are applied.
- Oversee work of program implementation contractors in support of program initiatives and approved projects, exercising delegated authority.
- Facilitate collaboration across teams and offers to support transparent communication, positive working relationships, and consistent customer experience.
- Work with Program Managers to identify and oversee proactive quality management strategies to ensure that program policies and technical standards are up-to-date and relevant to the marketplace.
- Coordinate program enhancement initiatives, applying best practices for project management and quality assurance, bringing in other resources from around the organization as needed to ensure efforts meet internal and external financial, audit, equity, evaluation, and public communication requirements.
- Contribute to program strategy development as directed by Program Managers.
- Support program design efforts and Requests for Proposal as needed.
- Support trade ally contractor relationships with Energy Trust and program implementers.
- Coordinate with internal teams and implementation contractors to ensure timely resolution of customer and trade ally complaints.
- Work with operations teams to ensure appropriate tracking of small business participation and use data to improve program design. Coordinate with marketing staff and ensure program materials and website content are kept up to date.
- Coordinate with internal and external outreach staff to maintain open lines of communication and collaboration, including scheduling and facilitating regular cross-team meetings.
- Maintain positive and streamlined customer experience by ensuring offers are coordinated in outreach, marketing, and customer communication.
- Support outreach by attending relevant events and presenting program offerings in public settings.
- Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from customers and contractors.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of project information.
- Perform all functions of the job in a safe manner.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
- This position may direct the work of external and agency contractors.
- This position may direct the work of interns and/or temporary agency employees.
Requirements
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in communication, engineering, science, race and ethnicity studies, economics, urban planning/community development, or other relevant subject, or equivalent professional experience.
- Three years of experience managing projects, contracts, and/or program initiatives from initiation to completion.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and writing abilities.
- Time-management capacity to meet deadlines while balancing competing priorities.
- Ability to manage implementation contractors, building relationships and keeping deliverables on track and within scope.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate within and lead multidisciplinary, cross-functional teams.
- Proactive and transparent communication approach to progress, risks, and changes.
- Experience or interest in applying an equity lens to decision making.
- Customer service skills.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word software applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated success integrating equity principles into projects and programs
- Familiarity with the energy efficiency industry
- Understanding of small businesses and their operations
- Technical aptitude and/or understanding of energy efficiency technologies
- Experience with energy efficiency measure development
- Familiarity with project management software such as Smartsheet or Asana
