As a part-time Front Office Receptionist in Greensboro, NC, you will play a key role in enhancing the patient experience through exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently.

Job Summary:

The Part-Time Front Office Receptionist will be responsible for accurate patient registration and providing a welcoming environment for patients and visitors. You will utilize medical systems to ensure proper documentation and support the clinical staff with administrative tasks as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner, both in person and over the phone.
  • Document patient arrivals in the Practice Management System (EMR).
  • Verify patient identity using their date of birth and name, creating accounts for new patients.
  • Prepare necessary paperwork for patient appointments prior to arrival.
  • Reschedule “No Show” appointments and ensure appropriate notes are maintained.
  • Schedule appointments that optimize patient satisfaction and provider efficiency.
  • Assist patients in emergency situations with care and judgment.
  • Update patient records in the Practice Management System (EMR) as needed.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and necessary authorizations; communicate with the billing department when required.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
  • Collect patient copays and balances at check-in/out while safeguarding patient confidentiality.
  • Demonstrate superior customer service skills and contribute positively to the team environment.
  • Answer phone calls promptly and courteously, addressing patient inquiries efficiently.
  • Other duties as assigned by Practice Manager or Area Practice Manager.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required; Associate's Degree preferred.
  • 1 year of customer service experience in a health care environment preferred.
  • Availability for part-time hours, including potential weekends.
