Greenfield Engineering, a Saalex Company is seeking a COMSEC Clerk in Patuxent River, MD. Saalex is an Engineering and Information Technology Services company with a focus on Test Range Operations and Management, Engineering and Logistics Services, Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Services and Information Technology Services.
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $30-$40 hourly (depending on experience)
Work Location: Fully onsite.
Essential Functions:
We are seeking a meticulous and trustworthy COMSEC (Communications Security) Clerk to support our mission-critical operations. In this role, you will be a key player in the administrative management and physical security of all COMSEC material. This is a full time on site position at Pax River, MD. Working under the guidance of the COMSEC Account Manager (CAM), you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with all security protocols and maintaining the integrity of our secure communications. Responsibilities include:
- Performing a variety of administrative duties to support the COMSEC account, including general file maintenance and record-keeping.
- Assisting with page checks, and entering amendments and corrections into COMSEC-related publications.
- Upholding Two-Person Integrity (TPI) for security containers holding TOP SECRET keying material.
- Serving as an official witness for the receipt, inventory, and destruction of COMSEC materials.
- Assisting in applying appropriate status markings on COMSEC material.
- Accompanying personnel to maintain TPI during the transport, pickup, and processing of sensitive materials.
- Other duties as assigned or required.
Requirements
Required:
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- The ability to work effectively within a team and follow strict procedures and protocols.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be eligible for designation in writing by the Commanding Officer and be PQS (Personnel Qualification Standard) qualified.
Desired:
- Prior military experience in a communications or security-related field (MOS/Rate).
- Experience with the Electronic Key Management System (EKMS) or Key Management Infrastructure (KMI).
- Successful completion of a COMSEC Custodian course.
Education/Experience:
At least 3 years of related experience and a HS Diploma or GED required.
Security Clearance:
Active Top Secret Clearance required with the ability to obtain a Yankee White Clearance -Presidential Support Program access. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
*Start date approximately 1 month from hire for Yankee White access approval.
